He stated he feels if the park is changed, they will continue to have a water problem in the area, and would have increased traffic, and would need a walk entrance to the park and better lighting, and he feels the park is too small for this type of addition. Mr. Foster stated they do not need a parking lot there for neighborhood residents, and as far as he is concerned, other residents of the City who would have to drive there and want to use it could go to New Brighton or Bloomington instead, and use their parks. Mr. Foster asked that if the Council stays with their decision on I,andom Park, to at least reconsider the placement of the building and the need for such a large parking lot. Charlie Crook, 5231 Skiba Drive, stated the Council had told them previously that the problem in moving the building from Random Park was money and asked why they should spend more money now. He stated if the Council wants to make people happy, they could find a way. Fran Mueller, 5226 Skiba Drive, stated she is against the building at Random Park, but can offer no solution. Mary Ann Wey, 5220 Skiba Drive, asked what the pipeline company will think of having the building on top of the pipe. Mayor Linke explained the building would not be over the pipeline, which is closer to the street. Robert Wey, 5220 Skiba Drive, stated the water flows down Long Lake Road, and if the pipeline broke again, it would flow into the park. Mrs. Mueller stated she is worried the pipeline company will think the City is lax if they place the building there. Mary Jane Czech, 5214 Skiba Drive, stated she feels the park is too small for the building, and she doesn't want it there. Pat Crook, 5231 Skiba Drive, stated her grandchildren do not like the location of the building there. Mike Finstimacher, 5219 Skiba Drive, stated he had taken pictures of the area during the last storm, and the water was very high, and something would have to be done about it.
