CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING SEPTEMBER 8, 1987 <br />PAGE TWO <br />MOTION /SECOND: <br />Quick/Wuori to approve the appointment of <br />Bill Hangii, Wally Mortenson and Tim <br />Pittman as temporary public works foremen <br />for the areas of Water, Sewer and Parks <br />respectively with an additional wage of <br />$1.00 per hour and an increase in the wages <br />of Gary Kardell and Dick Schmidlin to the <br />Maintenance III level during the time the <br />City is without a full -time public works <br />foreman. <br />All aye. Motion Carried <br />Clerk- Administrator Paulcv reviewed with <br />the Council his memorandum regarding the <br />construction of the addition to the public <br />works garage and his request that the Council <br />reconsider their action of August 24th and <br />authorize that Alternative A -3 be included <br />in the contract with Cottonwood Construc- <br />tion. <br />MOTION /SECOND: 5. <br />Quick /Hankner moved to authorize that <br />Alternative A -3 be included in the contract <br />with Cottonwood Construction in the amount of <br />$4,6660.00 for the painting of interior and <br />exterior portions of the public works <br />garage addition. <br />Mayor Linke requested that Staff obtain <br />a quote from the contractor on the <br />installation of vinyl asbestos tile in <br />the office and breakroom areas. <br />Clerk Administrator Pauley requested the <br />Council authorize the extension of the <br />employment of George Pajunen to <br />November 5, 1987 or an additional 120 <br />ours of employment commencing on <br />September 14, 1987, whichever comes <br />first. <br />MOTION /SECOND: <br />Hankner/Wuori to approve Staff request. <br />4.
