Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />ouncilmember Hankner stated she would like to postpone <br />3x ny, action on this resolution until Mayor Linke is <br />present, as he is the one who brought it up to the <br />Council, and until the Council has had an opportunity <br />to discuss it with the Councils of the other cities <br />involved <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Quick to table this item <br />indefinitely. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Acting Mayor Blanchard closed the regular meeting and <br />opened the public hearing at 7:05 PM. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reviewed the request of <br />Everest Development for the vacation of Skiba Avenue, <br />Liberty Street and utility easements within the <br />vacated right -of -way of Raymond Avenue, which is needed <br />for the development of the Mounds View Business Park. <br />Tim Nelson, of Everest Development, reviewed their <br />request for the vacation, and presented overhead <br />projections of the area, showing the property in <br />uestion. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley noted Everest Development <br />will be providing the necessary easements for the <br />utilities and roadways for the project. <br />Acting Mayor Blanchard closed the public hearing and <br />reopened the regular meeting at 7:11 PM. <br />City Planner Herman reported the Planning Commission <br />had approved the conditional use permit request of <br />Mr. DeGross in October, and it was before the Council <br />at their October 26 meeting, but it was tabled at <br />that time as there had been comments received from <br />residents who were against it, and Mr. DeGross had <br />not been prese::t at that time to answer the questions. <br />She added that Staff still recommends approval of <br />the conditional use permit. <br />Mr. DeGross had no comments to make, and asked the <br />Council if he could build the oversize building. <br />Councilmember Hankner stated the reason the Council <br />had tabled action at their last meeting was they <br />W anted an opportunity to meet with Mr. DeGross as <br />here had been opposition expressed by neighbors, <br />who were concerned with the way Mr. DeGross's <br />property is maintained presently.
