Mounds View City Council February 22, 1988 <br />Regular Meeting Page Eight <br />liquor license to any person having direct or indirect <br />interest in another similarly licensed establishment, <br />and thus there would be a conflict in transferring <br />the license from Richard Povlitzki to Robert Waste, <br />for POV's. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley stated they had discussed <br />the options open to Mr. Waste, but he had told <br />Councilmember Blanchard that rather than withdraw <br />his request, he would like the Council to take action <br />on it and deny it if necessary. He added that Staff <br />would recommend the application be denied and all <br />fees be refunded, exclusive of investigation costs. <br />Councilmember Quick asked that the item be tabled, <br />to allow Mr. Waste time to think it over. <br />Motion /Second: Quick /Blanchard to table any action <br />until the March 14, 1988 meeting, which is the next <br />regularly scheduled meeting. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />Attorney Karney stated he would be talking to Mr. <br />Waste soon regarding other matters, and would discuss <br />this with him. <br />Attorney Karney had no report. 22. Report of <br />by the Cable Commission that the cable company has not Clerk/ <br />ii the I -Net system within the school district, Administrator <br />as they had committed to, and the Commission is starting <br />to fine the cable company $500 per day per City until <br />that work is done. He added that Mounds View's share to <br />this point is $19,000 out of the $25,000 letter of credit <br />
