PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The Mounds View City Council was called to order by 1. Call to <br />Mayor Linke at 7:02 PM on Monday, March 14, 1988. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was said. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Quick, Blanchard, <br />Hankner, Wuori and Mayor Linke. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Attorney Karney, Clerk /Administrator <br />Pauley and City Planner Herman. <br />Motion /Second: Quick /Blanchard to approve the <br />February 22, 1988 minutes as presented. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Peter Lozowy, 7971 Woodlawn Drive, stated there has <br />been a problem with speeders and reckless drivers <br />along Woodlawn Drive for the past three years since <br />he has lived there, and he is frustrated in trying <br />to get anything done about it, and he feels the fines <br />should be etiffer, and those who abuse it should be <br />treated like adults. <br />Councilmt,mber Hankner stated she had received a letter <br />from Mr. Lozowy on Saturday. She explained this is <br />the street she lives on, and there are a lot of cars <br />coming and going from one particular house. She <br />added the police are patrolling the area as much as <br />possible, and she suggested holding a neighborhood <br />meeting as one way of involving the residents and <br />trying to get a workable solution. <br />Attorney Karney stated that if the police are advised <br />of certain times when it is worst, they can be in the <br />area and cite for speeding or misdemenour careless <br />driving.
