Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />After considerable discussion, it was agreed to have <br />Staff write the appropriate resolution. <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Quick to adopt Resolution <br />No. 2354, as outlined by Councilmember Hankner, and <br />direct Staff to write it. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Councilmember Hankner asked if anything could be done <br />about the dying trees at Silver View Park. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley replied that while they have <br />tried to stay on top of it, they cannot stop it. <br />Councilmember Hankner reported there is a problem with <br />people speeding around on the new pavement in the park. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley advised the Police should be <br />called when a problem is observed. <br />Mayor Linke reported the festivities for the 30th <br />anniversary party would begin with a <br />dance on the 13th, a gathering at City Hall on the 16th <br />for all former and present Staff, City Council and <br />Commission members, and the Festival in the Park on the <br />17th. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported he has asked Park 27. Report of <br />and Rec Director Saarion to discuss the advisability Clerk/ <br />of fireworks with the Fire Chief, due to the extremely Administrator <br />dry conditions. He stated that if the Fire Chief feels <br />it is appropriate, he would recommend cancellation of them. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reviewed his memo of June 24 <br />to the Council, requesting authorization to purchase a <br />computer for his office. <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Quick to authorize the purchase <br />of the equipment listed, with $2,225 to come from the <br />Training /Conferences Account 100 4190 -362, and the balance <br />of $1,050 to come from the City Hall Capital Improvements <br />Account 100 4190 -703. <br />4 ayes <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor Linke apologized that the time for residents <br />requests and comments from the floor had been left off <br />the agenda and asked if there were any at this time. <br />There were not. <br />June 27, 1988 <br />Page Ten <br />Motion Carri <br />28.
