Mounds View City Council
Regular Meeting
Page 5
May 8, 1995
B.
•
C.
Consideration of Resolution No. 4765 Approving Four Off-Site
Directional Signs for Sunrise United Methodist Church
Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, explained that Sunrise
United Methodist Church wishes to put into place up to four
off-site directional signs. This matter was discussed at the
May 1, 1995 Work Session, and Resolution No. 4765 has been
drafted for consideration by the Council. The Resolution
includes the following conditions:
a) The signs shall be designed and located as indicated on
the attached letter from the applicant dated April 20, 1995.
b) Written approval from County or State jurisdictions
regarding the placement of the signs shall be obtained prior
to installation of the signs. A copy of such written approval
shall be provided to the City.
c) Installation and maintenance of the signs shall be the
responsibility of the applicant.
MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Blanchard to Adopt Resolution No. 4765
Approving Four Off-Site Directional Signs for Sunrise United
Methodist Church
VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried
Consideration of Entering Into Lease Arrangement for New
Microfilm Machine
Tim Cruikshank, Assistant to the City Administrator, stated
that staff was requesting Council to authorize staff to enter
into lease agreement with Mid-America Business Systems for a
36 month lease for a Minolta 6032 microfilm machine. The
existing microfilm machine that City staff uses is
approximately 10 years old, and the quality of the viewing and
printing of historical film and fiche records does not
adequately meet the needs of staff.
Two vendors were allowed to bring in microfilm machines for
staff to use on a trial basis to determine which would best
suit the City's needs. The Minolta 6032 from Mid-America
Business Systems had the superior quality and was less
expensive.
The monthly lease payment would be $229.90 for 36 months with
a $1 buyout option at the end of that period.
•
