Page 11 November 13, 1995 Mounds View City Council MOTION/SECOND: Mayor Linke/Council members Trude, Blanchard and Quick to Approve Resolution 4847, Commending Samantha Orduno for Outstanding Performance as the Clerk Administrator for the City of Mounds View. VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried Mayor Linke took this opportunity to thank her for the time she spent with Mounds View. Ms. Orduno stated it has been a pleasure working with the City Council. staff and residents for giving her almost five years of the best times. Ms. Trude thanked Ms. Orduno for bringing a positive note to the city. REPORTS 1. Report of Council members: Quick - no report. Blanchard - no report. Trude - no report. 2. Report of Mayor Linke: no report. She thanked the Council, 3. Report of Administrator: Ms. Orduno stated she was sorry that Bill and Alice Frits could not be present at her last meeting -she will miss them dearly as well as many of the other residents who came regularly to city council meetings. She will also miss city staff. 4. Report of Staff: Mr. Harrington thanked Ms. Orduno on behalf of the staff, stating she was always supportive of staff, always encouraged them to be the most that they could be. The staff appreciates all of the faith that she always showed in them. Mr. Ulrich wanted to add an update on the water meter changeout program. He stated approximately 300 meters had been installed, however part of the system was not working with the phone system after installation. The problem has been corrected and installations will resume on Wednesday, November 22, 1995. He noted the MIU's will need to be changed on the meters that have already been installed, which is a slight inconvenience for the residents, however it is a five minute job and he apologized to residents asking for their cooperation. Mayor Linke noted that the next council meeting is scheduled for November 27, 1995. The next council Work Session is on December 4, 1995. The Truth in Taxation Hearing is on November 29, 1995 and he explained that council will be proposing a 0 ~O levy increase.
