.RESOLUTION NO. 546-98 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAIVISEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF ORDINANCE <br />NO. 617; AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO ZONING, THE B-3 HIGHWAY BUSINESS <br />DISTRICT AND THE PERMITTED USES THEREOF, AND AMENDING TITLE 1114, <br />SECTION 1114.02 IN THE MOUNDS VIEW CODE; PLANNING CASE NO. SP062 -98. <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Zoning Code allows Public or semi - public recreational <br />buildings and neighborhood or community centers, public and private educational institutions <br />limited to elementary, junior high and senior high schools and religious institutions, such as <br />churches, chapels, temples and synagogues in the residential zoning districts with the approval of <br />a conditional use permit; and <br />WHEREAS, the above mentioned uses may result in potential impacts similar to uses <br />permitted or uses allowed by conditional use in the B -3 Highway Business District; and <br />WHEREAS, B -3 zoning districts are located within close proximaty to residential zoning <br />districts; and <br />WHEREAS, the above mentioned uses will provide necessary services to citizens <br />residing or working in adjacent neighborhoods and the surrounding community. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning Commission <br />recommends City Council approval of Ordinance No. 617, an ordinance relating to zoning, the <br />B -3 Highway Business District and permitted uses thereof, and amending Title 1114, Section <br />1114.02 in the Mounds View City Code, <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Planning Commission directs staff to forward this <br />resolution to the City Council prior to approval of the minutes. <br />Attest: <br />Adopted this day of , 1998. <br />Jerry Peterson, Chairperson <br />Rick Jopke, Community Development Director <br />1V:IDATAIGIZOUPSICOMDE VIPLANCOMM1PCRESOSICOMCNTR.RES <br />
