Diagram oipylon sign Diagram of monument signs The City of Mounds View is pursuing the construction of a pedestrian bride over Highway I0. It will span the haghway just west of Long Lake Road. The applicant is concerned that the bridge will obscure the identification sign for the shopping center. The City is endeavoring to obtain an easement from the applicant for the ramp. The applicant is reluctant to grant such an easement without' the City addressing the possible obstruction to the visibility of the shopping center which might he created by the bridge. Staff suggested to the applicant that they apply far �. variance based on a visual simulafiion of the bridge and its relation to the shopping center identification sign. This report serves as a supplement ta the staffreport prepaced for your October 9, 1996 a.nd November 6 meeiing.
