Planning Commission Regort
Silver Lake Commons Amended Development Review
Planning Case No. 47-97 and 504-97
September 3, 1997
Page 6
apartmens and proposed iot far the townhome dwellings. In addiiion, because the driveway far
the apartments wautd be relocated to the townhomes lot, there r✓auld need to be a shared-access
driveway easement recorded with the County. Staff will seek legal consultation to deiermine if
there are any other ramifcations of this minoe subdivisian and to determine what would need to
be done to aIlow the garages/office/recreation area to straddIe ihe lot line. It may be the cas that
such an arrangement is not possible, thereby necessitating a majoe subdivision to combine the two
vacant parcels with the apartment parcel. Any new information will be presented to the
Commission at its meeting on Septembec 3, 1997. If these problems cannot be resolved prior to
your September 3rd meeting, staf3Fwould recommend that the rrunor subdivision request be tabled
pending further dlscussion.
tecommerdations:
Staff recommend tha the Planning Commission approve Resolution 528-97, a
resolution recommending approval aia development review request for MSP Re.l Estate,
provided the City Engineer has approved the drainage plan, subject to stipulations.
2. Sfaff recommends that the Planning Commission approve Resoluion 529-97, a
resoIution recommending approval of a minor subdivision request of MSP Real Estate to
combine the two vacant parcels south ofthe apartments into one lot, provided staffhas
resoived the two issues descsibed above, subject to stipulations.
N:IDATAIG ROUPSICOMDEVIDEVCASES1487-471MENDED.PC 1
