MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION N�. 669-01 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS V�W <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF A�IINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING RE-APPROVAL OF A PRELIMINARY PLAT FUR <br />THE MERMAID ADDITIDN MAJOR SUBDIVISION; <br />MOUNDS V�W PLANNING CASE NO. PD00-002 <br />WH�REAS, Daniel Hall, President of The Mermaid, agplied for approval of a preliminary <br />plat to expand the existing Mermaid property by adding the adjoining former Rent-A!i property, <br />the south 361 feet of the Mounds View Business Park South property, and the Music Off Ten <br />property; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on October 18, 2000 recommended approvai of <br />the original preliminary plat; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council on November 13, 2000, approved the preliminary plat; and, <br />WHEREAS, on May 13, 2001, the preliminary plat approval expired because the final plat <br />was not submitted within the required six-month period after preliminary plat approval, in <br />�; accordance with Section 1202.07, Subd. 1.; and, <br />: -. �' <br />WHEREAS, on July 25, 2001, Mr. Ha11 reapplied for preliminary plat approval; and, <br />WI�REAS, the legal descriptions for the properties to be platted aze as follows: <br />(See attached EXHIBIT A.) <br />WHEREAS, the proposed plat is named "MERMAID ADDITTON" and contemplates <br />reorganizir�g the above parcels into one developable lot and one outlot; and, <br />WI�REAS, the area of the proposed "1VIE� AnvrrloN" is 9.36 acres; a,nd, <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the following documents relative to <br />this proposal: <br />1. Preliminary Plat, date-stamped July 25, 2001 <br />2. Staff Report. <br />WI�REAS, the preliminary plat is consistent with the Met-imaid Planned Unit <br />Development, which was approved by the City Council on October 10, 2000; and, <br />
