The EDC specifically focused on priority no. 3 which encompasses Section 9 of the Draft
Highway 10 Plan. Section 9 includes both south and north properties from Cnty Road I/Hwy 10 intersection
up through the intersection of Hwy 10/Silver Lalce Road.
As discussed at the worlc session on Septeinber 3rd, I have received several inquiries regarding the City
owned property at the corner of Hwy 10/Cnty Rd I. In addition, I have been in contact with Dale Jones
regarding his 11 acres east of Silver Lalce Point Apts. The main questions before the EDC included if the City
should continue spot development as they come forward or should the City be looking at the entire section for
coordinated development?
After discussion with the EDC, they felt it would be useful to solicit bids to do a marlcet study of the area and
generate a vision and some development schematics. They would lilce the direction from the EDA to do this.
Upon completion of developing an RFP and reviewing the bids, they will recommend the selection of a
consultant to the EDA for approval/deival.
The schedule for this process would be as follows:
Septem, ber 26: EDC review and approve RFP and select a list of consultants.
October 1: Staff mails out approved RFP to consultant list.
October 16: Submittal deadline
October 24: DC reviews submittal/interviews consultants
November 4: Recommendation to select a consultant to the EDA for approval/denial.
,
,   ;
,,
r ;.,,.; ., -t r'
Execut ve Director
RECOMMENDATIONa Approve Resolution No. 96-EDA 51 authorizing the EDC to work on an RFP and solicit bids
for the development of a vision and schematic plan for highway 10 redevelopment area section 9.
