Scope of Services The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment and shall perform all services and work required to remove the listed building, structures and site improvements in strict accordance with these specifications and in accordance with the City ordinances pertaining to the removal of building and structures. The contractor is expected to examine the site of work to evaluate existing conditions prior to committing to bid amount. Failure to do so shall in no way relieve the contractor from performing the work as required or be grounds for a claim for extra payment. Propei to be Demolished The building and all equipment and site improvements relating to the buildings at 8265 Spring Lake Road shall be removed from the site and properly disposed. Abandonment of Well A well does exist on the property, which must be abandoned and sealed. (See attached Well Disclosure Certificate) Abandonment of and sealing the well must be completed by a well driller approved by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and in accordance with specifications determined by the NIDH. Environmental Issues Attached are the results of the hazardous material survey for 8265 Spring Lake Road. The assessment did locate the presence of asbestos in the bathroom floor linoleum, a thermostat which may contain a mercury switch and a well which must be secured. Please note that there is not sufficient asbestos material to warrant removal prior to demolition. However, appropriate state agencies must be notified in advance of the removaUdemolition. � Prior to demolition of the structures and site improvements, the appliances, fluorescent light ballast and chemicals should be handled and disposed of appropriately as recommended by appropriate state and federal state agencies. Permits Required The contractor shall, at the contractor's own expense, obtain all required licenses and pernuts in relation to the demolition.
