SECTION 4 ZONING DISTRICTS AND MAP 4.1 DISTRICTS-. For the pur- pose of: this Ordinance,: the Vil- lage of Mounds View is hereby organized into thefollowing use districts: RESIDENCE DISTRICTS "R -LA" — Single Family Resi- dence District - "R -1B" — Single Family .Resi- dence District "R-2" Two Family_ Residence District -."R-3" General .Residence District BUSINESS. "I-1" Light Industrial`Dist- ricf; - 4.2.- MAP'r - 4.2-1_ The location and boundar- ies ' of--' the districts -established by `. this Ordinance are -hereby set forth on the Zoning Mapen- titled' "Zoning Map of the Vil- lage of Mounds View" -dated 5-9-60 on file. with - the Village Clerk, hereinafter refer- red to as the "Zoning Map," which map and all of the nota- tions, references and other 'in- formation shown thereon shall have the -same force and effect as if fully set forth herein and are hereby made' alpart of this ordinance,. by reference. - 4.2-2 (a) All the lands and areas - in the Village of -Mounds View -zoned on said Zoning-Mapand *not within the. lines and -areas -on the zoning map designated as "R -Lk" Single Family Resi- denee District, "R-2" -`' Two Family Residence' District, "R- 3" - General Residence- District, "B-1" - - Limited Business Dist- rict, "B-2" - Retail: Business District, "B-3" - General Busi- ness District, "S -C" - Shopping Center -District; "I-1" - Light Industrial - District, are hereby zoned as '11-113Single I =- ily Residence District. M All lands and areas In Village of Mounds View-:desig- rated : on said zoning map as "I-1" are hereby zoned "I-1" - Light Industrial District. _ 4.2-3 The Zoning -Map, together with everything shown thereon and all amendments thereto shall be as much a part of this -Ordinance as though fullyset forth and described herein. 4.2-4 Said zoning map shall be at the scale of one (1) inch. on the map equals two hundred (200) feeton the ground. It shall be the responsibility of the Village Clerk to maintain said zoning map. Amendments there- to shall be recorded on said zon- ing map within fifteen days (15) after official publication of amendments. The official zon- Ang map shall be kept on file in the Village Offices and .shall be open to publicinspection at all times during which the Village Offices are customarily open. 4.2-5 Boundaries - (a) District boundary lines on -said map are intended to follow lot lines, - the center lines of streets or alleys the center lines of streets or alleys projected, the center of water courses or the corporate limit. lines, all as they exist at the time of enact- ment of this Ordinance. "- SECTION '5 - RESIDENCE DISTRICTS General requirements and uses shall be as hereinafter stated: 5.1 GENERAL REQUIRE- MENTS'INALL .RESIDENCE DISTRICTS The following minimum re- quirements shall apply to all buildings that are erected, con- vertedor structurally altered in Residence Districts: 5.1-1 Home Occupations shallbe governed by the following regu- lations: - (a) Permitted home occupations shall not be conducted in any building on the premises other than the building which is used by the occupant as the private `dwelling; andfurthermore that not more than one room may be used for such purpose. (b) Permitted home occupations shall not include the employ- ment of any persons not resid- ing on the premises 'in the per- formance' of such occupation, nor theuse of' mechanical equip- ment other- than is - usual for purely domestic or hobby pur- -poses; and further shall not in- clude exterior display or signs except as such are permitted by the sign- regulations for resi- dence districts. . . (c) There 'shall' be no exterior storage of equipment°or mater- ials used in permitted home oc- cupations. - (d) Permitted home occupations shall not include any ofthefol- ]owing: (1) The operation of anywhole- sale or retail business unless it is conducted entirely- by mail and does not involve the sale, 'shipment or delivery of merch- andise on the premises. (2) Any manufacturing busi- ness, barber --shop or beauty shop, dancing or music school with organized classes of more than one pupil at a time, com- mercial stable- or kennel, or any activity producing noxious matter or perceptible noise be- yond the lot lines. 5.1-2 Off -Street Parking - Re- quirements, e- quirements - - - - (a) In all Residetice- Districts off-street automobile parking space shall be provided- as an accessory use in - accordance with the provisions of this'Sec- tion at the time any structure is
