<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4153 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DESIGNATING ALL CITY-OWNED BUILDINGS AND VEHICLES <br />SMOKE FREE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1992 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, .the City of Mounds View recognizes the <br />importance of providing a safe and healthy environment to <br />those who work or visit the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in recognition of the 1975 Indoor Clean Air <br />Act and the nation-wide trend to establish smoke free public <br />buildings, the City has deter.mined it to be in the best <br />interest of staff, residents and visitors to City-owned <br />buildings that all City-owned buildings be designated Smoke <br />Free. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that effective <br />January 1, 1992, smoking of cigarettes, pipes, cigars or the <br />use of chewing tobacco will not be per.mited in any City-owned <br />buildings or vehicles except as expressly outlined in Section <br />7 of the Administrative Policy on Smoking and Tobacco Use <br />attached hereto as Exhibit A. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the <br />City of Mounds View does hereby approve the Administrative <br />Policy regarding Smoking and Tobacco Use attached hereto as <br />Exhibit A. <br /> <br />Adopted this 23 day of December, 1991. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br />Q~ri/f&{{}d~~) <br />.
