<br />as promulgated by the Government Finance Officers <br />Association of the United states and Canada and shall be <br />made available to the City's aUditing firm upon request. <br /> <br />Annual Reports: <br /> <br />An annual summary report of funds received and expended shall be <br />provided to the City Council at each year's end and as part of <br />the City'S annual audit report. <br /> <br />Proposed Expenditures: <br /> <br />This program provides an opportunity to use resources for funding <br />and/or equipment replacement plus other usages not available as <br />part of the Police Department's regular annual budget <br />appropriation. Authorized expenditures are for: <br /> <br />1. Supplemental capital items and specialized equipment not <br />available in the operating or capital improvements budgets. <br />Such items include but are not limited to: equipment for <br />crime processing or investigations, evidence gathering, <br />communications, firearms, firearms range, safety equipment, <br />and other general equipment. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />General community programs dealing with chemical abuse, <br />awareness and prevention, i.e., the DARE program and <br />selected programs. <br /> <br />3. Specialized and general training programs, specifically <br />those that are drug related. <br /> <br />4.
