<br />. <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, each item will require City Council approval and will be <br />presented to the City Council at a later date; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The total estimated City Hall Rehabilitation Project costs, <br />including all of the aforementioned items, is $1,409,300; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Special Projects Fund of the 2005 budget (Account No. <br />280-4160-7050) has $1,600,000 budgeted for the City Hall Rehabilitation Project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the Base Bid from Arkay Construction Incorporated of Golden <br />Valley Minnesota in the amount of $1,185,000.00 for the City Hall <br />Rehabilitation Project is the lowest responsive bid. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />That a contract to perform said work is awarded to Arkay <br />Construction Incorporated and that the Mayor and City <br />Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with said bidder, contingent on City legal Counsel <br />approval. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />That a bid alternate for the "tower" style entrance was submitted in <br />the amount of $30,000.00 is hereby REJECTED. Funds that would <br />have been spent on this bid alternate will be applied towards the <br />replacement of the City Hall Message Board. <br /> <br />4. The Public Works Department is authorized and directed to return <br />the deposit made for said bids, except the deposit of the successful <br />bidder, which shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />5. The execution of a letter of agreement for construction <br />administration services with SEH in an amount not to exceed <br />$46,000.00 is hereby approved. <br /> <br />6. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to execute <br />said Letter of Agreement, contingent on City legal Counsel <br />approval. <br /> <br />7. A contract to perform moving activities as well as provide storage <br />facilities and moving material for the City Hall Rehabilitation Project <br />is awarded to True-King Incorporated. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into a contract with said contractor, contingent on <br />City legal Counsel approval. <br />
