<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6007 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE <br />A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING REGARDING THE RENEWAL OF THE <br />FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITIES OF MOUNDS <br />VIEW, BLAINE AND SPRING LAKE PARK AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View, along with the cities of Blaine and Spring <br />Lake Park, entered into a Contract with the Spring Lake Park Fire Department for Fire <br />Protection Services in 1994; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the term of the Contract was ten years through the end of 2003 with <br />an automatic renewal provision as long as no parties desired to renegotiate the terms or <br />terminate the Contract; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Mounds View finds that the terms of <br />the Contract remain acceptable and in the City's best interest and desire to allow the <br />Contract to self-renew. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View hereby authorizes and directs the interim city administrator to execute the <br />attached Memorandum of Understanding (Exhibit A) on the City's behalf regarding the <br />renewal of the Fire Protection Services Contract. <br /> <br />Adopted this 12th day of May, 2003. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />,J Cv.,-L0,:) E-1~*-_;~'----"'\ <br />James Ericson <br />Interim City Administrator <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br />
