MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br />PARK AND RE(REATIOM COIMIISSION <br />CITX OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />Regular Session <br />June 27, 1974 <br />City Hsll <br />CALL TO ORDDt The Mounds View Park and Recreation Commiesion <br />met in regular sesaion and was called to order <br />by Chairman Flaumgartner at 6:30 P.M. <br />ROLL CALL Chairman Roger Haumgartner, Commiesioners Jacque <br />Coplin, and Gordon Fedor. Also present were <br />ex officio new members Kip Lundquiet and Wayne <br />Weflen and the Director of Parks and Recreation <br />Doug Sryant. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES Tna Comnisaion was unable to amend or approve <br />6/6/74 the minutes of 6/6/74 because it lackad a quorum <br />vote. <br />CHAIRMANS REPORT Cnairman Ba�mgartner repc�ted on the ��.ty Council <br />meeting of June 24, 1974. He explained the motion <br />passed by the City Council stating, "to give the <br />suthority to Doug Bryant to pursue a more effective <br />management and financial arrangement for the oper- <br />ation and maintenance of Lakeside Park, with no <br />deterioration of facilities and service for the <br />residents of Spring Lake Park and Mounds View". <br />A brief discuesion ensued resulting in a request <br />by the Commission to the Director of Parlcs and <br />Recreation that a epecial meeting be organized <br />regarding Lakeside Park. This general meeting would <br />involve the La?ceside Park Commission, Spring lake <br />Park Park and Recreation Commiseion, and Mounde <br />View Park and Recreation Commiesion. It would be <br />the Director's responsibility for setting cp the <br />meeting. <br />Commiseioner Burmeister arrived at 7:00 P.M. <br />INTRODUCTION: NEH Chairman Baumgartner introduced and welcomed new <br />MEMBIItS Cummissionera Kip Lundquiet and Wayne Weflen to <br />the Park and Recreation Commission. He stated tt�at <br />offlcially their terms would not begin uetil the <br />first meeting of 1975 and would extend for three <br />yeara. Chairman Baumgartner added that their <br />reaponsibilities untiL official appointment would be <br />the same ae the other �nembers except that they would <br />not be permitted to vote, �nake formal amendments� <br />or motions. <br />
