'p' <br />HARSTAD SUBDIVISI6NS Motion made by Commissia�-�ar Coplin to accept the <br />proposed private recreation area, fulfilling h1s <br />subdivision dedication reauirement, taking into <br />consideration previous co�ni[t�ants made when the <br />present subdivision ordinanse did not exist. Th? <br />motion was secondAd by Commissioner Burmeiater and <br />passed unanimously. <br />BLEM SUBDIVISION At the Feb. 28, 1974 regular session of the Park <br />and Recreation Commission meeting "a subdivision <br />was asked for by Mr. Beim of PBK Investment in <br />Mounds View's Industr3al Park. Permission was <br />granted by the Planning Commission on February 27, <br />1974 with the stipulation that the Park and Recreation <br />Co�mnission review the subdivision request and <br />reco�end to the Council land or cash dedication <br />for park purposes. Mr, Ken Simon o£ Ramsey County <br />. Open Space was contacted by this Commission regarding <br />land dedi.vation in this area. Mr. Simon says that <br />the parcel Mr. Beim wculd consider for park dedication <br />is not in the Os��n Space's over-all plan and they <br />would not be interested in pucchasing it for their <br />purposes. It was felt by this Cemmisaion tHat a C1ty <br />park in this area would be of very Little benefit <br />to our citizenry; that it would be in an Industrial <br />Park development area; that it borders directly <br />on the Mounds View/New Brighton city lines; and tt�at <br />our Comprehensive Plan does not indina.te a park in <br />this area. <br />MSP (Burmeiscer/Petersoi.) Tc rec:m¢;nd to the Council <br />to require a 10% cash d�.:�icra�irn '-o che Park and <br />Recreation Fund in acer�_cta.n�a .•tth our Ordinance No. <br />42,07 from the subdi4?.s:on �aquested by PBK Investment <br />in the Mounds View Industr,'.al Park site, The 1970 <br />Comprehensive Park Plan does not indicate nor include <br />a park site in this area. 7 Ayes.". <br />IatII�:R SUBDIVISION Motion by Caomissioner Coplin ar.d seconded by <br />Comoiasioner Fedor to accept a cash dedication for <br />the Kremes Subdivision. The motion passed unanimously. <br />NEW PARK SITES Chairman Baumgartner called on Mr. Bryant, the Diractor <br />of Parka and Recreation, to update the Commission <br />on the progress of new park sites. <br />Mr. Bryant reported briefly that the preliroinary atape <br />had been completed on the Random�Q.T., and Gree�.Eield <br />sites and that he was waiting for reports fror. �h^. <br />highway department, and the Engineer. He staced Ct�at <br />he hoped to receive lnfoxtoation in time to make a <br />more complete report at the next regular Caomisaion <br />meeting. <br />
