-A- <br />Co�issioner Cuplin stated that the policy had to be uniform <br />and justifiable. Coamissioner Fedor said Lhat fields should be <br />Ieft in the same condition as lrefore the tournament started. <br />Councilman Ba�gartner felt the co-sponsor approach by the park <br />and recreation department was ideal and that he felt no enthu3iam <br />for the rental of these fields. Bawogariner felt teams within the <br />park and recreation league may be candidates. Commissioner Fedor <br />felt civic groups and organizations shoudd qualify. Chairman <br />Petenon felt no teams or groups from outside Mounds Viaw should <br />qualify. <br />Baumgartner recommended that a maintenance man or police officer <br />on duty and paia oy che �evp.a s�:,n��:ing iha io�!*namgnt. <br />Chai�an Peterson requested that the Director pursue a policy and <br />present it at the next meeting. <br />Non-Resident Fees The Director of Parks and Recreation reported that he was plannin({ <br />on charging a"non-resident" fee to people who are participating <br />in the adult softball leagues. The $2.00 fee would be charged to <br />players who do not live or work full time or play (members) <br />for a city church team. He added that the women's league would <br />not be charged this year because of the limited response and <br />difficulty in getting teams. <br />Motion by Co�issioner Haake to charge "non-resident" fee's <br />for men's softball in the amount of $2.00 per person, per year, <br />excluding players vho live or work full time in hbunds View and <br />players vho play for a city church team that are full time members <br />of the church. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Coplin and passed unanimously. <br />Greenfield Park Motion by Ca�issioner Haake requesYing that the Park and Recreatien <br />Director pursue acquisition of the 9.9 acres uf low land, north of <br />Greenfield Park, from the State of Minnesota at no charge to the <br />City of Mounds View. <br />The motion was seconded by Chaixman Peterson and passed unaniaously. <br />Subdivisions Motion by Co�issioner Naake and seconded by Co�issioner Fedor to <br />seept a cash dedication to the park fund in accordance with <br />Ordinance #42.07 for the Bardwell subdivision. The �otion passed <br />unanimously. <br />Woodcrest Park Motion by Com�issioner Coplin and seconded by Commissioner Naake <br />to contact Attorney Meyers and look inta purchasing additional <br />land at Moodcrest Park/Downing prope:ty to preserve the spring <br />fed tamerack swamp. The motion passed unanimously. <br />Informative The Director reported that Ramsey County approved 1003 funding for <br />the Mounds Yiew, New Brighton, Arden Hills, and Shoreview Park and <br />Recreation departnents to hire 20 kids plus 1 full-time supervisor <br />30 hours per week X 12 weeks to clean-up RTce Creek and its banks. <br />
