MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />Regular Session <br />August 28� 1975 <br />City Hall <br />Call to Order The Mounds View Park & Recreation Comnisaion met in regular <br />session and was called to order by Chairman Peterson at 6:40 p.m. <br />Roll Call Chairman Vern Peterson, Comnisioners Wayne Burmeister. Jacque <br />Coplin� Gordon Fedor� and Barb Haake. Also presen[ were <br />Barcda�_deLBruere and Doug Bryant. staff from ehe Parks and <br />Recreation Department. <br />Approval of I',rtion by Wayne Burmeister and Seconded by Co�issioner Coplin <br />Minutes to approve the minutes of the August 14� 1975 meeting. The <br />motion passed unanimously. <br />Chalrman's C:wirman Peterson opened the meeting with a discussion of the <br />Report article in the New Brighton BulLetin regarding City Council <br />action on Lakeside Park. He pointed out that there had been <br />a 3/2 decision in favor of seeking managanent in addition [o <br />money from Anoka and/or Ramsey County. A discussion followed <br />regarding the article. <br />Th� Director of Parks and Recreation pointed out that he was <br />acting on the issue at the request of the City Council� but <br />only as a representative of the City becaese ft ws not an <br />issue with the Parks and��R�creation Department. He also <br />requested that a Comnissioner from the Mounds View Park anA <br />Recreation Crnrmission and Lakeside Park Co�ission attend all <br />meetings on the matter with'the Director, v�hich would insure <br />appropriate co�m�ntcations and feedback [o both co�isaions. <br />Before moving on to ehe next agenda item Chairmnn Peterson <br />crnmented t}iat ehe Lakeside budget appropriation was included <br />in the Park and Recreation budget. He suggested that it be <br />removed �'rom the Parks and Recreation budget as the co�ission <br />was not reaponsible for these funds. The Director pointed <br />out that it was a matter of logistics and therefore appropriately <br />pCt into the parks and recreation budget. <br />
