•P@GE 2 Park and Recreation Crnmnission Minntes <br />September 25� 1975 <br />Trails <br />Co�ittee: The Director informed Cmmnissioners that no calls had been received <br />from interested citizens who would like to serve on a trails <br />carmnittee. A brief discussion folLowed. <br />Co�issioner Haake recocmuenged calling residents and bringtng one <br />representative, in name on1y, to the next meeting. Coimniasior.ers <br />were in general agreem>_nt and said they would report back at the <br />next meeting. <br />Soccer Fields: Vo11 Gerhert again attended the Cor�unission meeting repsesenting the <br />need for soccer fields. A discussion followed of all available areas. <br />It was agreed that this request should be a priority and dealt with <br />as soon as posslbLe. The ideal size would be 105 yds. x 65 yds. <br />In conclusion it was decided that Greenfield be given strong <br />consideration and relining the Edgewood football field. <br />I.B.A. Co�issioner Burmeister questioned whether or not the Park and <br />Recreation Department received funds from I.B.A. for extra Saturday <br />building supervision. The Director said that we have in the past <br />as the City of New Brighton has also. <br />Subdivisions: <br />Adjournment: <br />� <br />� <br />Motion ty Chairman Petesson and seconded by Commissioner Wefler to <br />accept cash dedication to the park fund in accordance with Ordinance <br />�{42.07 for the following subdivisions: <br />Balk� Donald <br />Brogger� Larry <br />Schluter, Marvin <br />Anderson, Ione <br />Jokmson� Ingvald <br />S�ith� Arlue <br />The motion passed unanimously. <br />Motion by Peterson <br />Seconded by Lundquist <br />All in favor <br />9:00 P.M. <br />
