Co��atitv Education ilpda[e - There was a Community Education Advisory Committee <br />meeting on Thursday, November 10. Following a slide presentation on the Mounda <br />V1ew Communi[y Education program, four task force committeea submitted Cheir <br />reports: <br />a. Chippeva Coordinator - no repor[ <br />b. Capital Ou[lay - They adopted a list of propoaed community expendiCUreB oF <br />$13,000. Mounds View submitted one requeat, that being the upgrading of <br />the Edgewood Ballfields, our request was denied. A comple[e list of the <br />adopted items can be found in the resource file. <br />c. Extracurricular - This committee report wae often considerable diacuasion <br />by the co�ittee. A copy of the committeea recom�renda[ions may be reviewed <br />in the resource file. � <br />d. Resource Center - Because oF [ime constrain[s, this subject wae not covered <br />and was also tabled wtil [he December 8[h meeting. A complete copy of the <br />proposal [o make New Brigh[on Elemen[ary a Co�uni[y Resource Center can <br />be found Sn the reaource file. <br />5. ForeeCtv Grant - We submitted the Shade Tree Program grant m the Depertment of <br />Agriculture as required by the State on November 14. The grant providee for <br />$37�865 in the sanitation phaee and $2,520 in the replan[ing phase. The grant <br />basically Se approved "as is" and !e based en actual oosts Ln 1977 and projectione <br />for 1978. The grant ia used to base our allo[ted reimburaement to the pHvate <br />homeowners for the removal of diaeased trees (37� Sn 19)7). <br />A complete copy of the grant propoeal ie Sn the reeource file. <br />
