Lack of professional exper[Sse
4. Poor attendance for scheduled programs
5. Increased operating expenses
6. Questiona concerning present role; policy making ve. working role
The Mounds View City Council directed the Council representa[ive Judy
Rowley and Mayor John Pickar to attend the November 21 Spring Lake Park
City Council meethig to express the Council's cuncerns on Lakenide Park.
On December 8 an iaformal task force met to review the existing atatus
of Lakeside Park and recommend soluticns for the January 12 meeting.
One of [he possible solutions is that the Commission become etric[ly
policy oriented and the adminiatra[ive responsibilities would be turned
over to the tvo ci[ies Parks departmen[s.
Staff will be submitting a report in conjunctlon with Jay McCluakey,
Spring Lake Park Parks and Recreation Direc[or, a[ the .Tanuary 12
meeting to determine the feasibility of such a proposal.
