Call To Order <br />Roll Call <br />MINUTES OF Tt1E PROCEEDINGS OF TNE <br />PARKS AND RSCREATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNE30TA <br />Regular Sesaion <br />December 15, 1977 <br />Edgewood Jr. Nigh <br />6:30 p.m. <br />The Mounda View Parks and Recreation Co�ission was <br />called to order at 6:35 p.m. by Chairman Vern Peteraon. <br />Co�isaioners preeent - Chairman Peterson, Wayne Burmeieter, <br />Jacque Coplin, Barb Aaake, Wayne Weflen and Councilmember <br />2iebarth. <br />Co�issioners absent - Gordon Fedor. <br />Others present - Sruce Anderson, Director; Mary Kvalheim, <br />Program Supervisor; Mark Achen, City Administrator; and <br />Russell Yahl, resident. <br />Approval of Pbtion by Co�i.eaioner Buxmeistex and seconded by Commisaioner <br />Minutea Coplin to appmve the September 22 mim�tea as read. The <br />mntion passed. 3 ayea <br />. 2 abatentions <br />Chairman's Chairman ;ete-_son discussed whether or not Winter Broomball <br />Report leagues should be offered. Following a general discusaion <br />between Staff and Co�i.saioners it was felt tfiat the posaibility <br />of an adult broomball league ahould be continued an a trial <br />basis. <br />Councilman's CounciZman 2iebarth welcomed and intmduced the new Parks, <br />Report Recreation and Forestry Director, Bruce Anderson to the <br />Commission. Mr. Mark Achen, City Administrator then outlined <br />a brief resume of Mr. Andersona background. <br />Citizen Input Mr. Russell Pahl, 7940 Greenfield Avenve adreased the Comnieefon <br />concerning his feelings on Capital expenditusea for City Parks. <br />Mr. Pahl stated the following: � <br />1. Expresaed disappointment in the Comnisaionere 5 year <br />capital improvement plan; i.e. plantinga too low ae <br />a priority and baseball and hockey are too high. <br />2. Reco�ended the following activities be expanded upon; <br />horaeshoe pita, arehery range, and pathways for motor <br />ized vehiclea. <br />:::.N-� <br />z� <br />�: <br />. �.::��,,,u <br />3.
