8. Begin to increa�e U�e eyuipment inven mry for recre�tional programs - � <br />especially athletic and playground programs. Namely: ruAber red play- � <br />ground balls (all sizes), soccer halls and volleyballs and basketballs, �� <br />catcher's equipment, pinnies, f"notballs (.fr, size), flat 6ases (for kick- <br />ball, etc.), cones (ased as inarkerti, goals, etc.), 16mm projector. � <br />I[ 1s the aim to request for donations and contribu[ions from community <br />service groups fur acquisition of such equipmr.nt. <br />9. Life-long leisure reorcatton�l activi[ies ic a prinrity in the field of <br />recrea[ion. Therefore it is an aim to promote such family programs as: <br />orienteering, swimming, sknting, birycllnR. J�881ng, dancing and other <br />activi[ies. � � <br />10. Public relations is a continual need For promntion af opportunittes and <br />offerings of this department. Therefore, ihc weekly column in the New <br />Brigh[on Bulletin will continue, Flyers will continue to 6e passed to <br />s[udents in the schools, brnchures will continue or expand in content of <br />recreational offerings. Also, slide/tapo produa[ions will be developed <br />and used for orsaniza[ion, agency and group presenCa[ions. An album will <br />be placed in a booklet for display and re(erencc. 6rochures and Flyera <br />will also be on display a[ [he office. <br />Such informa[ion will also be kept in supply to such organtzationa as <br />the Welcome Wagon, churches, merchants, businesaes, etc. The Mounde View <br />City sign will have advertising messages weekly on diaplay. <br />11. Another aim is [he provision oC $500.00 to bc budgetted for 1979 in the � <br />Recreation Fund (tax suppor[ed) ro provide for a par[ of the transportation .� <br />costs of the many pronra�s with whSch buses are needed. Another aim is to rewrite and reclassiFy part-tine ,job descripUona� ti[lea <br />and pay scalea. � <br />14. EstaAlishmen[ of a Parks, Recreation and Forretry pe[[y cnRh fund ia <br />also a much needed opera N on. 7'his fund couid be us��d Cor normal, frequent <br />and regular small cash speuJinF by such programs as summer playgrounds, <br />movies and miscellaneous. <br />15.
