Memo to Commission -2- February 22, 1978 <br />7. Coaununity Education - StaEf attended the Community Education meeting <br />on Nebruary 9 at New Brighton F.lemen[ary school. <br />r� <br />There were two major proposals discussed: � � <br />A. New Bri6n[on Ele�rentary School was officially adopted as a <br />Community Center effec[ive Septemb2r 1, 1978. <br />B. A Task Force has been established to review Che curren[ <br />extra-curricular programs tha[ are being offered in the <br />school district. . <br />8. Spring Brochure - The Spring brochure has been completed and will <br />be going to press in [he next week. Our present [i�line will have <br />the brochure mailed out to the residents the aecond week in Plarch. <br />9. Kid-Napers - A variety of recreation progxams were offered Co the <br />Mounds View residents during the recent energy conservation week. <br />Among the planned activities were sliding, old tyme moviea, tours, <br />sleighrides, bowling and ski trips. <br />There are presently over 225 youth who have registered for the <br />Kid-Naper activities. <br />
