Call to Order <br />Roll Call <br />Approval of <br />Minutes <br />TIINUTES OF THE PROCEEDIi�GS OF THE <br />PARKS AND RECREATIO.I COPCIISSION <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VZEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MLNNESOTA <br />Regalar Session <br />Maxch 30, 1978 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />Council Chambers, 6:30 p.m. <br />The Mounds View Parks and Recrea[ion Commisaion waa called <br />to order at 6:35 p.m. by Acting Chaizperson Wayne Burmeiater. <br />Commissioners present - Acting Chairperson Burmeiater, <br />Commi.ssioners Haake, Kuluvar, Pedor, Linke and Weflen. <br />Councilmember present - Councilmember Ziebarth. <br />Staff present - Director Anderson, Program Supervisor <br />Kvalheim and Landscape Architect Kampel. <br />Visitors present - Mr. and Mxs. Martin. <br />New Co�issioners Jerry Linke and Gordon Kuluvar were <br />welcomed and introduced to all present. Also welcomed <br />was Prank Kampel, a landscape archi[ec[ and temporary <br />staff inember. Frank is woxking on a B.A. from the U of N. <br />Commissioner Haake made a mo[ion to approve the minutea <br />as corrected, seconded by Cownissioner Fedor. <br />The motion passed. <br />6 Ayes <br />0 Nayee <br />Chairman's Report Ac[ing Chairperson Burmeister complimented Ci[y Forester, <br />Jack Shields on [he excellent news wlumn "dack's Jottings" <br />which appeara weekly in the New Btighton Bul.letin. <br />Councilman's Councilmember Ziebarth expreased interest in whether the <br />Garden Plat program was run for profit or whether the pzogram <br />will break even. birector Mderson assu=ed the Co�iasion <br />that the intent is a non-profit, low expenditure serviee <br />to the people. <br />Councilmember Ziebar[h also inquired abou[ the Lakeside <br />Park status. IC was repor[ed by Director Mderaon that the <br />ai[uation is presently being reviewed by Ramsey County Park <br />Department. <br />Vieitor Preaenta- Mr. and Mrs. Mar[in, 7951 Greenwood Drive expresaed concern <br />tlon of balls being hit over the boundary fence of Hillvtew Park <br />into their yard. Concern for privacy and poanible proper[y <br />damage was especially expresaed. After discuasion, the <br />Cot�ission decided to add an outfield fence 230 feet from <br />homeplate. Thia will hopefully detrnct the older youth from <br />playing at this field. The Hillview hockey boarda vill be <br />uned for the fencing. <br />
