_ _4_ rwy io, ivs .
In addition to [he 'andividual park probleo listed [he following should be
noted:
1. Oar park system is basically undeveloped at Chis point.
2, Many of ouz existing park sites have been built on low ground and
have been filled with street sweepings, i.e. Greenfield, Hillview,
Gmveland and Woodcrest.
3. We preaently do not have one hard coust os impervious surface in
our park system. Staff envisions a number of hard court aurfacea
in the future including, parking lots, tennis courts and multi-
purpoae areas.
4. The need for replacing our existing park shelter buildings is looming
larger each year which would increase the exiating runoff.
5. Staff aill be proposing an asphalt trail surface in the next 3 years
wnnecting the city's major shopping areas, achools and park areas.
6. There 3s a great need to enhance the aeathetic value of our existing
"open ditch" areas which I feel should be a concern of the storm
wa[er committee.
If you would llke additional informatioa or clarification on our exis[ing park
status, feel free to.give me a call.
