Commissioner Haake made a motion to accept the �� Park Dedication Fund of 10� cash dedication of ��. the approved �530,000.00 value of the Northcrest � Park Property (as earlier given). This motion wa�� based upon the earlier commission discussion. Chairman Burmeister seconded the motion. Motion . passed. 4 Ayes 0 Nays Councilman's Councilman Ziebarth was absent. Director Anderson Report announced the City Council's request for a bicycle safety program within the city. The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department will now be responsible for such a program. Program Supervisor relayed possible program projections for the future, especially connected with the University Extension Program for bicycle safety. Student Intern Director Anderson introduced Frank Kampel, Park Report Landscape Architect. Frank reviewed the maey�maps, site plans and layouts of Mounds View parks. The greatest amount of study was directed to Silvex View Park. Following explanation, the Silver View Park plan was discussed. Commissioner Naake made the comment that the tot lot is located too close to the parking lot and is not adjacent to the ball 'fields. It was resolved that a second tot lot would be a good addition. Commissioner Haake requested a traffic study of Silver Lake Road in relation to the Silver View proposed access. Another comment by Commissioner Haake was the possible placement of a pool. Frank Kampel will return to a futvre meeting with a plan including the addition of a second tot lot and proposed swimming pool. Tot Lots Director Mderson reviewed the proposal of the purchase of tot lot equipment for Oakwood and Lambert Psrks. Commissioner Haake made a motion to purchase the equipment as proposed for the Lambert and Oakwood tot lots. Commissioner Linke seconded the motion, and added a.nendment incliiding the proposed placement of equipment and the movement of the Lambert shelter as proposed. The motion passed. 4 Ayes 0 Nays Farmer's Dlarket Director Mderson reviewed the guidelines for the Farmer's Atarket. Commissioner Linke expreesed con�ern for the closing times, in concern for housewives ::,.,� � after-dinner clean up. llirector Anderson noted tlie need to "clear-out" becausc of Bel Rae functions. Director Anderson is preparing a staff report to the city council outlining the operational guidelines of thc program. � .
