Pro ram - We now have two employees working for our <br />epartment t rough the local C.E.T.A. and D.E.C.A. program of <br />School Distsict #621. Teri Trombley is working 5 days/week from <br />1:00 - 4:30 p.m. as a clerk typist. Barrett Collins is working <br />from 12:45 - 4:30 p.m. as a Park Laborer. <br />This program does not impact the City general budget and they have <br />both proved to be a tremendous asset to our department. <br />Fall Softball - The adult fall softball league drew to a close <br />Septe3er l�following a 10 game, 5 week season. The season <br />proved to be a big success and had over 200 participants. <br />M.R.P.A. State Conference - Director Anderson aad Program Supervisor <br />va eim recent y atten ed the three day Fall h1.R.P.A. Conference <br />at the Sheraton Inn in Brooklyn Park. The conference was excellent <br />and a complete report will be presented by staff at Thursday's meeting. <br />N.R.P.A. National Park Congress - Director Anderson will be attending <br />t e ational Recreation an Yar Association Conference from October <br />14 - 19 at Miami Beach, Florida. I have had the opportunity to <br />attend the past 5 National Conferences and found each of them to <br />be most rewarding both educationally as well as professionally. <br />Barry Bauer Resigns - It is with a great deal of sadness that I must <br />report t e recent reisgning of 67r. Barry Bauer as the Director of <br />Community Education for School District k621. Barry has served in <br />that capacity for the past 4 years and largley through his efforts <br />we have been able to develop a tremendous cooperative agreement �aith <br />the schools in a myriad of ways. <br />
