GATEWAY
DEPARTMENT OF PARKS,
RECREATION AND FORESTRY
Cf of IaudS Ve
 RqMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTN
Y401 HIGHWqV 10
MOUNOS V IEW, MINN.55112
MEMO T0: Mounds View Parks $ Recreation Commissioners
FROM: Staff
DATE: October 31,1978
RE: White Oak Homeowners Pond
Staff inet with Tom Foster from White Oak Homeowners Association
:.nd Steve kose, Building and Zoning Official on Thursday,
October 12 to review their proposal and to re-examine the
potential of the Silver View Park site.
After walking the grounds of both sites, it was determined that
the Silver View Park site was much more suited for the proposed
project. The reasons for this is:
1. Increase3 area to work with (16.5 acres as compared
to two. )
2. No adjacent homeowners to contend with.
3. Matural holding pond area already in existance.
4. Drainage could be handled much more efficiently at
Silver View.
5. The project could all be accomplished at one time.
6. Silver View site will be able to accommodate the silt
until it is moved in the spring.
Staff outlined three stipulations from Nir. Foster in our corre-
spondence dated October 13, 1978, the three were:
1. A feasibility report from Roto-rooter as to whether the
project could be accomplishad.
2. A report on the proposed cost of the project.
3. Permission be secured from the affected property owners
on where the hose will be stretched.
At this point, Mr. Foster has not had an opportunity to secure
the property owners permission or prepared a cost feasibility study.
