3- <br />Park Development Director Anderson reviewed the Commissioner's <br />Update packet report on current park development. There <br />is a question as to the future development <br />of Northcrest Plat, therefore the availability of <br />proposed park dedication monies are as yet unknown. <br />Old Business The Old Hwy. 8 hloga farmstead has been demolished <br />by Ramsey County Parks and Recreation. A memorial <br />plaque will be placed by the County to commemorate <br />the site. <br />The Commission reconfirmed the decision to fence an <br />additional 4" in height on the residential side of <br />Woodcrest hockey boards to alleviate b1r. Lamppa's <br />concerns. <br />Commissioner's Commissioner Linke reported that the Jaycees are <br />Report negotiating with the Lakeside Park Commission for <br />the constiuction of a picnic shelter. The project <br />will be a joint project with the Commission pur- <br />chasing the materials and the Jaycees building tha <br />shelter. <br />Commissioner Linke also reported on the development <br />of Aamsey County acquiring Lakeside Park. The <br />acquisition is contingent on the closing of lYake- <br />field Park swinming beach. There is a possibility <br />that the necessary transactions will be completed <br />by spring. <br />Staff Report Director Mderson proposed the construction of <br />old playground equipment en a trial basis at Ardan <br />Park with the intent of receiving community feed- <br />back. The Commission concurred without making a <br />formal motion. � <br />Director Anderson reported on the b�PA Fall Confa:- <br />ence. The keynote topic was on liability. <br />Mounds View School District �621 Community Education <br />Director, Barry Bauer has resigned effective December <br />1. <br />The Park Shelter Building Task Force has been pooTly <br />attended. A survey will hopefully find a moro <br />conduci�-e meeting night for the members. � <br />Program Superv:.sor Kvalheim gave a brief recap of <br />Summer and Fall programs. <br />Adjournment Commissioner Fedor made a motion, seconded by <br />Commissioner Linke to adjourn the meeting.
