(Gsaphic B, here) - <br />Identification of Local R.ecreation Needs: Determine the cotRnu- � <br />nity's needs for recreation open space facilities and programs. This <br />can be dona through questionnaire suiveys�, public hearings and in- <br />foanal open meetings. The public's response should be used in deter- <br />mining objectives for the community's recreation open space system. <br />Final determi;aation of the coanmunity's desires for recreation open <br />space facilities and pmgrams should be done by the local government <br />(city council, park board and recreation staff) since they will be <br />responsible for pmvidinq these facilities and progxams. <br />Inventory of Recreation Resources: Inventory existing and _ <br />potential local recreation open space resources, facilities and pm- <br />grams. Both public aizd private recreation facilities should be <br />inventoried. This inventory should include: _ . <br />1. Existing and planned non-local areas (regianal, state� federal, <br />private, quasi-public, etc.) <br />a. Name of facility <br />b. Ownership/Administration <br />c. Location (map) � <br />d.
