Guidelines <br />Page 2 <br />15 - Plant growth must 4e r,ept one foot within the plot borders on all sides. <br />16 - Each leasee is responsible for keeping his/her plot(s) and any walkway �. <br />adjacent to or bordering any section of his/her plot(s) free from weeds. <br />The use of herbicides is prohibited. <br />17 - Each leasee will control insects and diseases within his/ner plot(s). My <br />spraying must be done usin9 only approved pesticides and be done in such a <br />manner as is necessary to confine its application to his/her own plot(s). <br />� 78 - All Geuris from the garden must be disposed of by the leasee in the trash <br />containers provided by the City. <br />79 - Watering is the responsibility of the garde�ers. Water wi11 be provided <br />at the site either in 55 gallon drums or by a small tanker whenever possible. . <br />The use of the water is a privitege and should not be abused. <br />20 - The leasee will harvest all crops once they are mature and only from his/her <br />own plot(s). <br />21 - A71 leasees who do nat maintain their plot(s) in an appropriate manner will <br />"' be notifie� by mail that if the situation Ss not satisfactorily corrected <br />within five (5� calendar days the plot(s) and all fees will be forfeited. <br />Any one not able ta work his/her plot(s) over an extended time period (one <br />week or more) should provide for someone to tend his/her ptot(s) to contro} <br />weeds and insects, and to pick any mature crop. Thi person should be <br />provided by the teasee with wr�tten permission for th,�t person to tend these �. <br />plot(s). If it is not possible to obtain a temporary caretaker, the leasee ,._. � <br />should notify the Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry. <br />22 - Clean-up of the plot(s) is the responsibility of the leasee and is to be <br />completed prior to October 15, 1979. <br />23 - The City will not be liable for accidents or injury to participants or <br />others, either on or adjacent to the gardening area. <br />Zq -?he City wi17 not be responsible for policing th? g rden area nor for the <br />control of vand��ism which might occur. <br />PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO FOLLOW THESE GARDEPlING GUIDELINES.
