MINUTES OF THc PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESTOA <br />Regular Session <br />March 22, 7979 <br />Nbunds View City Hall <br />Council Chartbers, 6:30 p.m. <br />Calt to Order The hbunds View Parks and Recreation Commission was called <br />to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chairman Wayne Burmeister. <br />Rol1 Call Coimnissioners present - Chairman Burmeister, Cnmmissioners <br />Silvis, Haake, Linke, Wefien and Kuluvar. <br />Coricnissioners absent - Coplin, Fedor and Scott. <br />Council�mrtber present - Councilmember Ziebarth. <br />Staff present - Director Mderson and Program Supervisor <br />Kvalheim. <br />Visitors present - Mr. Richard Kaiser, President of the hbunds <br />View Jaycees. <br />Approval of Commissioner Linke made a motion to accept the minutes as <br />t4inutes read. Coirenissioner Weflen seconded the motion. The motion <br />passed. 0 Nays <br />3 qyes <br />3 Abstentions <br />Chairman's Chairman Burmeister reported on the recent park bond refer- <br />Report endum which was passed in the City of Apple Valley. <br />Councilmertber's Councilmember Ziebarth welcomed newly appointed Commissioner, <br />Report Mr. Siivis and newly reappointed Coimnissioner Haake. <br />The progress of selecting a new City Adminfstrator has <br />reportedly narrowed the many applicants to seven candidates,. <br />It is speculated that a new City Administrator will be on <br />board by the middle of June. <br />Visitor's Mr. Richard Kaiser, President of the Mounds View JayCees <br />Report reported to the Commission various service projects <br />which the Jaycees bope to provide witliin tne parks. The <br />Jaycees witl be finishing the Lakeside Pavi111on project <br />this spring with the co�letion of the landscapiny. Also, the <br />Jaycees hope to plant seedlings along the east fence at <br />Ardan Park. The Jaycees are also looking into buying <br />five larger trees which could be planted 1n Ardan Park. <br />Mr. Kaiser, on behalf of the Jaycees asked the Commisston <br />for input as to the services and needs for park development. <br />The Jaycees offered their votunteer manpower and service in <br />park develop�rent service. <br />
