riiriuTES �f TriE �RG4CC�iTiS CF T�E <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COhT1I55lON <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE Of MINNESOTA <br />--. <br />Regular Session <br />August 23, 1979 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />Council Chambers - 6:30 p.m. <br />Call to Order The Mounds View Parks and Recreation Comnission was called to <br />order at 6:30 p.m. by ChaSrman Wayne Burmeister. <br />Roll Ca11 Comnissioners present - Chairman Burmeister, Comnissioners <br />Linke, Kuluvar, Fedor, Scott, Naake and Silvis. <br />Comnissioners absent - Lomnissioners Weflen and Coplin. <br />Councilmember Ziebarth was not present. <br />Staff present - Uirector Anderson and Program Supervisor Kvalheim. <br />Approval of tammissioner Linke made a motion to table approval of the July <br />Minutes comnission meetin9 minutes until the September comnission meeting <br />for the reason that the minutes were sent out before the commission- <br />er"s packets therefore 6ecom5ng lost in the shuffle of papers. <br />Fbtion was seconded 6y Commissioner Scott. Motion was passed <br />unanamously. . 7 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Staff wi11 again sead out the Ju1y minutes along with the September <br />packet of information. <br />Silver View Director Anderson reviewed the report on the Silver View Park status <br />Park Status of land appraisals. Director Anderson revtewed land cost estimates <br />broken down by funding resources including grant monies, <br />and park dedication monies. Comnissio�ier Haake inquired whether <br />the park dedication fee was estimated on the low side. Director <br />Anderson replied that if anything, the figure on land dedications <br />was estimated on the high side. <br />Director Anderson stated that the appraisers 0. J. JanskS and <br />Associates, Inc. have deit with Kraus/Anderson in the past. <br />The next steps to be followed in the quest for Silver View Park <br />are: <br />1. Wait for the appratsals to be compieted. <br />2. Meet with Kraus/Anderson Associates with further negotiations <br />in a rolled-up shirt sleeves work sesston. <br />Direcwr Anderson further stated that the soii on tAe north end <br />of the site has been determined to be very good and buildable. <br />Unfortunately this msy be a dlsadvantage in the probab111ty of <br />a land swap based on land needs. <br />
