Park Policy Survey
7. Do you charge a clean up fee?
Page 3
None of the surveyed communities presently cbarge a clean up fee for
the use of City Hall fields.
Five of tne surveyed comnunities presently charge a damage deposit
which in turn is not refunded if the facility is not left in a clean
state.
SWff Recomrendations:
Our existing park usage policy appears to be in line with that of our surrounding
comnunities except in the area of large group picnics.
1. Staff would recommend that graduated scale similar to Roseville be
adopted to charge for large group picnics up to 150 people.
2. Permits for City facilities can only be obtained by a Mounds View
resi dent.
3. Groups of 150 or more must secure a special event or large group
picnic permit which must be requested at least 2 weeks in advance
with a$100.00 damage deposit, the city would retain $50.00 as a
clean up fee for any large group and refund the balance assuming a
clean facility.
The city council must forma7ly approve a special event or large group
picnic.
