Shelter buildings at Moyer Park picnic grounds.
1 open shelter
1 closed shelter
2 ball diamonds
One diamond gets reserved with each building. Must have a group of
50 or more people. $20 fee to reserve these.
They don't reserve ball fields any more. They used to have permits but
they became an administrative problem. (People would call in Monday to
reserve fields and they'd use different names to get fietds, etc.)
So they discontinued their permit policy, now its an a first-come> first-
serve basi can fight it out on the fields.
2. They only accept one reservation at a time (But since it's only for big
groups for the shelter buildings, one time is usualiy a11 the group wants.)
They had problems with people calling in November 1976 to reserve facitities
in June> 1979, so they nav have a policy where on January 2(or the first
ddy back after New Year's) people can start making reservations for fac5lities
for the current year. First came, first serve basis.
No residency requirements.
4. Tournaments. $5/team fee charged for each team entering the tournament.
Changed from last year. Used to be $25 flat rate plus $7/team. The new
system is easier to administer. 875 refundabie down payment for softball
tournaments for clean up purposes. If the city has to come in and clean
up the mess they use the E75 to py the maintenance people. (Usuatly, it
ends up that the teams owe the city more than the $75.)
6. Beer permits must be approved by the City Council. $28 for conditional
use permit to se11 beer. 3.2 beer for softball tournaments. Must be a
non-proflt organization requesting the permit.
Application for these permits goes through the License and Inspection
department.
8. Will send information.
9.
