;� <br />RLiSOLU'1'lON N0. 1056 <br />CITY OF MOUNllS VIEW <br />COUN7'Y OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNG507'f. <br />RESOLUTION OLT61N1NG 7'lili NARK h1AINTGNANCG FRIORITIES POR <br />WINTER SKATING RINK FACILII'IGS. <br />WHEREAS, the hlounds View City Council recognizes the direct <br />benefit to the community to provide well maintained and groomed <br />Parks an1 Recreation Cacilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the winter ice skating �irogram is an integral phase <br />of tlie hlounds View Parks and Recreatfon Uepartnwnt recreation <br />program offerings; and <br />Wt1EREAS, the City currently maintains cleven shcets of ice at <br />seven park/school facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the cost for maintaining parks facilities continues <br />to escalate on a yearly Uasis; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has expanded their winter skating facilities <br />during the past two years while tlie maintenance budget has decreased; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it has become apparent that a winter rink flooding <br />priority policy schedule be established to delineate and reflect the <br />community needs; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council '. <br />hereby formally authorize the City Staff to maintain the winter � <br />skating rink facilities as follows for the 1979-80 winter skating season.'. <br />1. First Priority - 7'hese rinks shall be broomed and cleared on . -- <br />a daily basis, and flooded a minimum of three times per week <br />weather permitting. Park sites that shall fall into this <br />categ�ry include Hillview and Woodcrest Parks. <br />2. Second Priority - These rinks shall be broomed and cleared <br />on a daily basis and flooded a minimum of two times per week <br />weather permitting. Park sites that shall fall into this � <br />category include Lambert, Greenfield, and Oakwood Parks. <br />3. Thir3 Priority - These rinks shall be broomed and cleared at <br />a minimum of twice per week and flooded�a minimum of once per <br />week weather permitting.
