CONSULTING SERVZCES AGREEMiNT <br />FOR CITY "r7IDE <br />CO�REHENSIVE PARKS & OPEN SPACE PLAN UPbATE <br />MOUNDS VIBi�, MINNESOTA <br />t7ovember 14, 1979 <br />PRQTECT DESCRIPTION <br />.: The update of the Aiounds View Comprehensive Parks and Open Space <br />Plan. <br />SCUI�P. OF PRWECT <br />The professional services of SAUNDERS-THALD�N & ASSOCIATES, INC. <br />shall be as follows: <br />i. Inventory of the existing Mounds View Parks and Recreation <br />facilities. <br />II. Update and summari�e the 1970 Comprehensive Parks and Open <br />Space Plan completed by Brauer & A�sociates. This will be <br />presented as a new master plan report which will include <br />all the informaGion developed in this agreement. <br />III. Development of park master concept plans Eor nine indi- <br />vidual neighborhood park sites. This will include full <br />color, formal presentation boards and 8� x 11 reproducible <br />conies. This phase shall also include the preparation <br />of an environmental analysis of each of the nine neighbor- <br />hood parks. This analysis shall update available�data <br />related to: soils, hydrology, topography, vegetation, <br />drainage, access, utilities and unique characteristics. <br />The following parks are included: <br />Ardan Pzrk 8.8 acres City Hall Pzrk 12.9 acres <br />Greenfield Park 35.5 acres Groveland Park 4.1 acres� <br />Hillview Fark 3.2 acres Woodcrest Park 2.0 acres <br />Lambert Park 3.2 acres Random Park 2.0 aaree <br />Oakwood Park 2.4 acres <br />IV. Coat estimates for all proposed park development will be <br />prioriti�ed in a£ive year capital improvement plan. <br />V, Davelopnent of an extansive community survey which shell <br />be printed, distributed and collated by the City of Mounda <br />View to determine a park needs assessment for each of <br />the neighborhood parks to be followed up with a minimum <br />of five public hearinqs to review the master compreheneive <br />pla�. These meetings shall inciude "lireak-down" seeeions <br />with neighbors £ron each park area diecusainq their con- <br />cerns for tfieir park. <br />
