Parks and Recreation Commission <br />Minutes <br />�u'ye [ <br />Januar,y 28, 1982' <br />A motion was made by Chairman 8urmeister, seconded 6y <br />Comnissioner Wemager to appoint Frank Silvis as Secretary, <br />The motion passed unanimously. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />WINTER SKATING Staff outlined a memo dated 1/27/82 regarding the wii:ter <br />skating proqram. The report outlines four issues: <br />1. Portable buildings <br />2. LambeYt Park construction <br />3. 4linter Park maintenance <br />4. Oelay in openin9 Greenfield Rink <br />Staff recommended that each of the Commissioners should try <br />to visit the buildings on a first hand basis so they could <br />judge the functionality of the buildin9 themselves. -. <br />PARK COMMISSION- Staff presented a final draft of City Code Chapter 34 for � <br />CHAPTER 34 the Comnission to review. The Commission reviewed the Chapter � <br />and approved it in concept after making two changes; tne . <br />first was in Chapter 34.03 re9arding terms and vacancies, <br />Lhey recommended deleting the work tM1ree in the second <br />sentence to the word with, the second change was in 34.06 <br />where they recommended we delete the words "be9inning January 1 <br />of each year." <br />A motion was made by Comnissioner Silvis, seconded by <br />Comnissioner Burmeister to recommend the City Council adopt <br />Chapter 34 as correcte0. ���� <br />SCHOOL D[STRICT Staff outtines a memo dated 1(14/82 which stated how the <br />UPDATE recent school closings would effect our recreation programs. <br />Director Rnderson is working with Community Education Advisory <br />Council in deveioping a reoort on alternative uses for the � <br />closed sthool.
