MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COhMISSION <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE Of MINNESOTA <br />July 22> 1982 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />Council Chambers <br />6:00 p.m. <br />CALL TO OROER: The meeting was called to order at 6:05 p.m. by <br />Chairperson Wayne Burmeister. <br />ROLL CALL: Comnissioners present: Frank Silvis, Maritynne �ennehy, <br />Wayne Weflen, Wayne Burmeister, Donna Bowman, Cindy <br />Wermager. <br />Comnissioners absent: Ed Letendre <br />Councilmembers absent: Bill �oty was excused due to <br />vacation. <br />Staff present: Director Bruce Anderson <br />APPROVRL OF MINUTES: A motion was made by Chairperso� Burmeister, seconded <br />by Comnissioner Dennehy to approve the March 25 and <br />__ April 22 minutes as mailed. 7he motion passed unanimous- <br />-- �Y• 6 ayes <br />0 nayes <br />CHN[RMIIN'S REPORT: Commissioner Burmeister provided a brief update on <br />Sitver View Park and the vandalism that he had personally <br />viewed at the site. <br />COUNC(LMQABER'S REPORT: No report <br />SILVER PARK UPDATE: Park and Recreation Director Anderson provided a verbal <br />update as to the status of Silver View Park inctuding <br />the potential of 1983 L.R.W. C.O.N. funding and the <br />major tree pianting program on May 8, 1982. Staff further <br />indicated that Phase I development of Silver View Park <br />had taken place but at this time we still have not closed <br />out four contracts due to poor workmanship. <br />EDGEWOOD JR. HIGH UPDATE: Staff forwarded a report indicating that Edgewood Junior <br />High had been declared as the School District Community <br />Center and would re�in open effective August 1, 1982. <br />Staff stated that this change would have tremendous impact <br />on not only the City of Mounds View but our department <br />in particular as both the pool and indoor facilities would <br />be available for dqy, weekend and evening programming. <br />� <br />
