In addition, staff discussed <br />the issue of local rubbish haulers becoming <br />involved in the leaE composting program and felt <br />that a[ this time we should run a hiyh quality <br />proyram and get into larger quantities of leaves <br />in [he future. The Park Commission reviewed [he <br />leaf compostiny program and reyuested [hat the <br />inaividuals in charge of [he Ramsey County LeaE <br />Compos[ing Proyram attend the Septembec Park <br />Commission meeting to futher update the <br />Commission. Commissioner Wermager asketl staff <br />what had happenetl wi[h the �ark dedica[ion plans <br />for Silver View Park at this time and staff <br />indicated tha[ the project had fallen by the <br />wayside when the Fes[ival in the Park parade was <br />not able to utilize the Silve[ View Park <br />facilities. S[aff stated that there was going <br />to be a grand opening of the leaf composting <br />proycam on Sa[urday, October 29 at which time <br />the two programs could poseibly be tied <br />toge[her, Commissioners Bowman and Wermager <br />volunteered to work with staf£ 1n the <br />development of a ribbon cutting ceremony for <br />6ilver View Park on-;4otobee 29 in cO�,�,�n��a�ar�. <br />with th�ilexE +, a �ruyram. .�. <br />StaEf�Eorwarded copies oE the Groveland Park <br />Newsletter and gave a brief update as to how the <br />Groveland Park Foundation had been progressing <br />in [he past month. The major highlight for the <br />Croveland park Foundation had been the <br />construction of five new benches and planting <br />areas as well as [he annual neighborhood picnic <br />on Saturday, September 10.
