The CVB is a tourism <br /> organization "whose mission is to promote economic growth for its members as a preferred <br /> destination for events, meetings, and tourism." Currently, member cities include Anoka, <br /> Blaine, Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Coon Rapids, Fridley, Maple Grove, and <br /> Shoreview. Jon Connelly, Executive Director of the CVB has articulated the benefits of <br /> 1111) <br /> membership in the following manner: <br /> BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP <br /> Our share of the Twin Cities Traveler. This results in revenue for tourism related <br /> businesses in your City and increased visitor spending in your City to further economic <br /> development. The bottom line benefit is always generating new tourism related business <br /> and increasing development. <br /> TANGIBLE BENEFITS <br /> • Direct referrals for tourism inquiries for our area <br /> • Leads distributed to your properties for group business <br /> • Affiliation with the National Sports Center on sporting events taking place there and in <br /> other areas <br /> • Advertising in state and regional publications <br /> • Printed visitors guides distributed through the Minnesota Office of Tourism and other <br /> tourism related outlets <br /> • Promotion of public venues within member cities <br /> • Marketing of local festival <br /> • Partnership with local chamber of commerce <br /> 0 • Overall sales and marketing activities which include: shows,direct mail, print ads, sales <br /> calls, telemarketing, and web site marketing <br />
