8. Develop and execute strategic policies as directed by the Board of Directors regarding <br /> • members, industry relations, and allocation of Bureau resources for sales and <br /> marketing. <br /> 9. Develop an annual Marketing Plan in conjunction with the Sales Staff and Bureau <br /> Marketing Committee, including strategies, show schedules, promotional events, <br /> specific projects, and public relations. Achieve goals as outlined in the annual <br /> Marketing Plan. <br /> 10. Develop and execute activities outlined in the Bureau's Activity Calendar, and ensure <br /> that staff regularly updates the daily, online and annual versions. <br /> 11. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Committee or the Board of Directors. <br /> SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> 1. Undertake government relations/state legislative activities as directed by the CVB <br /> Board. <br /> 2. Pursue integration of technology in Bureau workplace to increase efficiency. <br /> 3. Participate in industry groups such as the Minnesota Association of Convention & <br /> Visitors Bureaus (MACVB), Midwest Society of Association Executives (MSAE), <br /> and Minnesota Office of Tourism. <br /> 4. Participate in professional conferences and seminars as needed to enhance Bureau <br /> operations. <br /> 5. Develop programs within the Bureau to increase awareness of tourism and staff <br /> development. <br /> • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS <br /> 1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. <br /> 2. Minimum 5 years of directly related and progressively responsible experience. <br /> Management experience at a multi-community CVB is a plus. <br /> 3. Related experience in sales, marketing, hospitality or tourism industry. <br /> 4. Experience in managing a 501(c)(6)non-profit corporation. <br /> 5. Ability to manage within a fast-paced work environment and to motivate staff. <br /> 6. Proven performance in achieving goals and executing program of work within fiscal <br /> guidelines. <br /> 7.
