PDOO-002 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Daniel Hall, Prcsident of The Mermaid, applied for approval of a <br />preliminary plat to expand the cxisting Mermaid property by adding the adjoining formcr Rent- <br />All property, the south 361 feet of the Mounds View Business Park South property, and the <br />\1 usic Off T cn property; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on October 18,2000 recommcndcd approval of <br />the original prcliminary plat; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, thc City Council on November 13,2000, approved thc preliminary plat; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on May 13, 20CH, the preliminary plat approval expired bccause thc final <br />plat was not submitted \\ithin the required six-month pcriod after preliminary plat approval, in <br />accordance with Scction 1202.07, Subd. I.; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on .July 25,2001, Mr. Hall reapplicd for preliminary plat approval; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS. on August 1,2001, thc Mounds Vicw Planning Commission recommended <br />approval of thc resubmitted preliminary plat; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the legal descriptions for thc properties to be plattcd are as follows: <br /> <br />(See attached E\71IBIT A.) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, thc proposed plat is namcd "MER\1AID ADDITlO!\!" and contemplates <br />reorganizing the above parcels into one developable lot and one outlot; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the area of the proposed "MER\1.-\ID ADDITION" is 9.36 acres; and, <br />
