Com oses affidavits of maiiin notice for ublic hearin • <br />publication. <br />PERIPHERAL DUTIES <br />Prepares custom and formula-based departmental <br />reports and distributes ~ev+des copies of reports to City staff as appropriate or <br />as requested. <br />Notifies Community Development Director of any discrepancies or necessary <br />updates to Zoning Code and other pertinent department-related materials. <br />Prepares list of license applications for City Council approval as necessary. <br />Keeps staff members informed of upcoming license renewals, new multiple <br />dwelling owners and registration applications, and inspection schedule changes <br />which may require particular attention or action. <br />Distributes license and registration certificates in a timely manner. <br />Performs notary public duties as necessary. <br />Keeps appropriate personnel informed of all important matters which require <br />immediate attention or action. <br />Assumes other responsibilities as apparent or as delegated. <br />Assists in maintaining a favorable image with residents, rental property owners, <br />contractors and others. <br />Plans work assignments °~°~'~Q to make the most productive use of <br />available working time. <br />Has a thorough knowledge of the City's entire physical and electronic filing • <br />system. <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br />Education and Experience: <br />(A) Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent with specialized course work in <br />general office practices such as typing, filing, accounting and bookkeeping, and <br />(B) Permit Technician Vocational Certification or two (2) years of increasingly. <br />responsible related experience, or any equivalent combination of related <br />education and experience. <br />(C) Minimum one year experience in Permit Technicial position preferred. <br />NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />(A) Working knowledge of computers and electronic data processing; working <br />knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; some knowledge of <br />accounting principles and practices. <br />(B) Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment. <br />(C) Ability to provide a successful level of customer service; ability to <br />communication effectively verbally and in wrttang; ability to handle <br />demanding situations. <br />(D) Certain know{edge of but{ding codes, zoning codes, permit processes, <br />legal aspects and standards of building. • <br />
